VRT is performed on the top of
the foot with the individual standing and is especially
effective for joint and movement problems. It can be given as part of a
conventional session or as a separate
treatment.
This increases the intensity and speed of the treatment so sessions last
approx 20mins.
What is it?
VRT has been developed by Lynne
Booth. While treating clients who had mobility difficulties in a nursing
home she worked intuitively and reacted to individual needs. The result
is VRT, performed on the top of the foot with the client standing. This
increases the intensity and speed of treatments, so sessions last about
20 mins. VRT can also be incorporated into a conventional reflexology session
of one hour.
Who can it help?
Lynne took part in a clinical trial which
proved the benefit of this therapy to people with muscular – skeletal
problems. Since then Lynne has gone on to develop her work with successful
treatment of asthma, arthritis, M.E. , sports injuries, and many other
conditions.
